Themes of eroticism, family and mortality in the art and life of Lovis Corinth
This book examines the stylistic and thematic transformations of the art of Lovis Corinth (1858-1925), from the eroticism of his nude portraits of his young wife to the images of mother and child, family life, depictions of Corinth's own aging and his landscape paintings from the Walchensee.
